A Massive thanks to all who
caught me by surprise on Friday 13th!
I would like to say cheers to each and
every one of you that made my 40th birthday into
the most memorable and also the hardest to
remember that I have ever had. You guys rock! As
the organizer, my wife Robin deserves a special
award. Long distance award goes out to Rosie, who
flew in from Baltimore! I wish I was able to give
out medals! If you don't have a tattooed number
on your neck, I salute you. I am not
worthy!

This page is here for
its history but will never be updated again. Be warned that the

I have a blog! Click here
to check it out!
If you don't know what this is, here's the info:
Blog is short for Weblog and is an easily updatable
webpage that allows you (the reader) to add
comments/criticisms to whatever I have typed. I
have started it as an experiment and may well be
changing it's format a number of times until I like
the result. Go ahead and give me some bull'
back!
Robin has her own Website -
tiedyedragonfly.com. Originally, the site was put
together by me until she could take over. She has now
redone the whole thing and I urge you to check it
out. Don't forget to sign the guestbook or use her
message board! You can see it by clicking
here
or up at the top right.
Well, that was quite a year. I shot my first deer
whilst bow hunting! I was blown away by a surprise
birthday party. I started work for the first time in
this country, having got through the immigration
thing. We are happier than ever together and feel
sorry for our friends whose marriages have started
and failed since we took the plunge. For all those
who sneered at the possibility of an online romance
actually working - Ha-Ha!
I now live in Wausau,Wisconsin, USA
with my wife Robin and stepson Jacob. We have a Giant
Schnauzer named 'Plonker' after the famous astronaut
and a 'Borderline' Collie named 'Echo' after the guy
who discovered coprolite. After looking after a
friend's cat for a while, we have adopted two cats
from our local Humane Society. The female is a
tortoiseshell with some attitude and her own agenda.
Robin has christened her 'Kali' after the ancient
Indian goddess of communications technology. The male
is an old-style alley cat complete with scars. He is
built like a staffordshire bull terrier and has been
christened 'Hagrid' after the character made famous
in the Jay and Silent Bob movies. We also have a tank
full of tropical fish! (Please note that some, if not
all, of the above pet-name explanations might be
misleading!)
We should be in the grip of a Wisconsin winter.
Everybody tells me about how bad it can get here but
the weather just keeps proving them wrong! We almost
had a white Christmas! Still, the local bar has a
roof and the wallet is no longer empty, so life is
good!
My latest interest is bow hunting. I am becoming a
better shot and have now got my first deer. It was a
decent sized doe from about 20 yards. The shot was
accurate and the kill clean and quick. The Baltimore
influence is still as strong as ever as can be
witnessed by my hunting camo: I wear a complete set
of purple camoflage! The locals certainly notice me
but the critters don't! Now I have a new weapon: a
blowgun! It fires a variety of darts for small game
and has a magazine full of small paintballs for those
deer that I deem not worthy of an arrow. Watch out
for deer sporting coloured spots if you are in this
area! If you are against this kind of thing, you
might want to go stick your tofu where the sun don't
shine! I like venison and I got me some!
I have just been looking through some old photos
that belonged to my Grandfather. Of particular
interest are a small collection that were taken
during the filming of the Four Feathers. Not the new
version but one of the old ones. I think that it
might be the famous 1939 adaptation. His regiment was
used in the movie. When I post some of these photos,
maybe an eagle-eyed visitor will be able to enlighten
me further? Stay tuned!
I have had my personal Totems read! I have yet to
decide what to make of it. My Totems are apparently
:- the Swan, the Prairie Dog, the Turkey, the Racoon,
the Bat, the Fox and the Bear. Don't start calling me
'Big Chief Load-A-Bull' just yet!
Please let me know what you think,
your criticisms and ideas would be gratefully
received, and, if the idea is mind-blowingly good,
your name will be credited!

This site is designed to be viewed at a resolution
of 1024X768 or bigger. It will work perfectly well at
smaller sizes but might cause you to do more
scrolling and not see the pictures as intended.
Ideally it should be viewed using Internet Explorer.
It should work under all of Netscape's browsers but I
have only been able to test it on the latest version.
It has also been tested on the latest version of
Opera and looks OK, if not exactly as designed! If
you do have any problems, please let me know and I'll
do my best to get things working. I have had a few
comments over the months but in every case it turned
out to be the fault of the visitor's browser!
